(1883-1939) Фэрбенкс, ДугласНастоящая фамилия - Ульман [Ullman]. Актер и продюсер, звезда Голливуда. В 1904-14 работал в театре. С 1915 - в Голливуде [ Hollywood]. В 1919 вместе с Ч. Чаплином [ Chaplin, Charles Spencer (Charlie)], Д. Гриффитом [ Griffith, David Lewelyn Wark (D. W.)] и Мэри Пикфорд [ Pickford, Mary], ставшей впоследствии его женой, основал компанию "Юнайтед артистс" [ United Artists]. Снялся в десятках фильмов, основное амплуа - благородный рыцарь "без страха и упрека": "Знак Зорро" ["The Mark of Zorro"] (1920), "Робин Гуд" ["Robin Hood"] (1922), "Багдадский вор" ["The Thief of Baghdad"] (1924), "Черный пират" ["The Black Pirate"] (1926), "Железная маска" ["The Iron Mask"] (1929), "Укрощение строптивой" ["The Taming of the Shrew"] (1929), "Мистер Робинзон Крузо" ["Mr. Robinson Crusoe"] (1932), "Частная жизнь Дон Жуана" ["The Private Life of Don Juan"] (1934) и др. В 1939 награжден специальной премией "Оскар" [ Oscar]. Его сын от первого брака Дуглас Фэрбенкс, мл. (1909-2000) также много снимался в Голливуде.
